As one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations, Save the Children works to ensure children across the world, especially those most impacted by inequality and discrimination, have access to healthcare, food and shelter, as well as learning opportunities and child protection services.
“Save the Children’s humanitarian efforts are critical in our ever-changing landscape. With unpredictable events becoming all the more frequent, elevated political risk is accelerating and has a real impact on children across the globe. By partnering with Save the Children, we aim to support the charity in its mission to make a positive impact,” said William Whittington, Regional Head of Specialty Credit, UK, at Allianz Trade.
Issued by the Allianz Trade team, with the support of our broker, Marsh, and alongside other insurance partners, Save the Children benefits from a syndicated, multi-country PRI policy at a nominal premium.
This support helps protect international funds in countries where the threat of confiscation is elevated and ensures the organization’s life-saving work can continue. It provides the charity with protection against expropriation, currency inconvertibility and/or non-transfer of insured funds.
As we recommit to a fourth year of coverage, we have added several new countries in urgent need of the humanitarian organization’s funds and projects within the scope of cover.
“Save the Children International is hugely grateful to Allianz Trade for their continued amazing support to our humanitarian operations, with the essential provision of political risks insurance cover for a nominal premium. Without this vital cover, our ability to provide continued humanitarian support in the territories covered would be significantly challenged,” said Edward Collis, Treasurer at Save the Children International.
We’re a proud partner of Save the Children and are glad to continue evolving the scope of our coverage in order to provide the charity with even better support and protection going forward.
