The labor market stumbled in October as the economy created only 150k jobs vs. expectations of 180k. It was the second-lowest month in the post-pandemic era. The y/y job growth rate continues to fall, often a precursor to a slowdown in the overall economy. The previous two months were revised down sharply by 101k.
