Euler Hermes' economic research is expanding in Paris

Alexis Garatti is appointed Director of Economic Research for the Euler Hermes Group. He will be assisted by Ana Boata, newly appointed iDrector of Macroeconomic Research, and Maxime Lemerle, now Director of Economic Research for Sectors. These three appointments at the head of Euler Hermes' economic research strengthens the research department of Allianz, the parent company of Euler Hermes. Ludovic Subran, Chief Economist of Allianz, remains Chief Economist of Euler Hermes.

Alexis Garatti holds a doctorate in macroeconomics from the University of Bordeaux. Previously head of macroeconomic research, he was appointed director of economic research for the Group, in charge of macroeconomic research and sectoral research. Over the last two years, Alexis has provided technical expertise and allowed the Paris team to be in the forefront of Big Data applied to the economy. He has ten years of experience in banking and asset management in France, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong

Ana Boata holds a Master in Banking and Finance from the University of Paris Panthéon-Assas. She becomes director of Macroeconomic Research. Ana joined Euler Hermes in November 2012 as Senior Economist for Europe. Recognized for her forecasts on the euro area, Ana was also, since 2018, responsible for SME thematic research. Ana is very involved in Allianz NEO, the Allianz Group network that supports professional equality between men and women. Ana speaks Romanian, English, French and Italian

Maxime Lemerle holds a Master's degree in Finance from Paris Dauphine. He has been director of sector research since 2015 and specializes in business failures and payment and collection behaviors. He joined Euler Hermes in 1993 as a credit analyst specializing in the retail sector, before joining the team in charge of risk at Euler Hermes France.
